TRANSFER RULES

All transfer applications must be made
in the Official Transfer form. It must be completed in
duplicate, properly signed and sent to the relevant secretary. |

A player who leaves a county permanently and who wishes
to become involved in the playing activities of another
county must:
(a) Obtain sanction from Provincial Council if her
intended participation is with another county within
the same province.
(b) Obtain sanction from Central Council if her intended
participation is with a county outside her former
Province.

A transfer becomes effective as soon as
it is sanctioned by the appropriate authority. |

A transfer requiring Central Council sanction and which
has been approved by Club and County Committees may
be approved by the National Secretary subject to:
(a) A Central Council Meeting not being held within
4 weeks of receipt.
(b) Ratification at the next Central Council Meeting.

INTER CLUB

A player who wishes to leave one club to
join another in the same county must apply to the Coounty
Committee for a transfer. This also applies to players
leaving a disbanded club.
The County Committee shall have power to refuse or grant
such transfers taking into account the best interests
of the Association. |

A player seeking an inter-Club transfer
outside the County she last played in must seek her release
from her former club by completing the transfer form.
The form must then be signed by her former Club and County
Secretaries who should then forward it to the County Secretary
to whom she is transferring. |

If the player is residing in the parish
of the Club to which she is transferring or if she is
returned to her home Club the county secretary may sign
the transfer form and forward it to the Provincial or
National Secretary as ountlined in Rule 279. |

If the player is not residing in the parish of the
club to which she is transferring, of if she is not
returning to her home Club the transfer must be:
(a) Discussed and cleared by a County Committee meeting.
(b) The transfer form endorsed to that effect, signed
by the County Secretary and
(c) Forwarded to the provincial or National Secretary
as outlined in Rule 279.

Where a player's former Club or County Secretary
refuses to sign the transfer form, the player should contact
the Provincial or National Secretary as appropriate. |

When the transfer has been sanctioned one
copy will be returned to the applicant, who shall present
it to the club which she wishes to transfer to. The Club
shall register the player in the usual manner. |

When a player is transferred to a Club in
another County on or after 1st September in any year,
she shall not be eligible to take part in the All-Ireland
Club Championship of that year unless she has played previously
with the Club to which she has been transferred. |

INTER COUNTY
|

The procedure to be followed to obtain an Inter County
transfer is:
(a) She must seek her release from her former County
Secretary by completing the transfer form.
(b) The Secretary shall sign it and forward it to
the Provincial or National Secretary as outlined at
Rule 279.
Where football is no longer played officially in the
player's former County, she should forward the completed
transfer directly to the Provincial or National Secretary
as appropriate.

An Inter County transfer becomes effective
as soon as it is sanctioned by the appropriate authority.
The appropriate Secretary shall sign the transfer form
and return one copy to the applicant, on receipt of same
the applicant should present it to her County Secretary. |

In all applications for transfers, the status
of the player shall be specified and also the date of
the last competitive match in which she played. Schools
and College competitions are exempted. |

|
A player who has commenced a competition
in one County shall be eligible to finish that competition
for her Club or County even though she subsequently left
that Club or County and is playing legally with another
Club or County, provided that her transfer is in order.
A player cannot play for two different Counties in the
same years competition. |
