IMPORTANT

As per HEC byelaw 29 and 31 regarding championship and league knock out matches please note the following:

1. There are to be NO replays, extra time of 10 minutes each way is to be played in the event of a draw

2. If teams are still level after extra time the match goes straight to a penalty shoot out. 5 penalties per team, followed by sudden death if necessary. Goals ONLY shall count in the case of a penalty shoot out.

3. There are NO double periods of extra time in ANY matches.

REFEREES

1. The HEC will appoint referees for the following matches ONLY:

1. All league Quarter Finals, Semi Finals and Finals in all Divisions.

2. Donaghy Cup Semi Finals and Final ONLY. Donaghy Shield Semi Finals and Final ONLY.

3. Lagan Cup Semi Finals and Final ONLY.

4. Lynch Cup Quarter Finals, Semi Finals and Final.

5. Lynch Shield Semi Finals and Final ONLY.

6. Giles Cup - ALL Matches

7. O'Connor Cup and Shield - ALL Matches

8. In all other rounds it is the responsibility of the HOME team to appoint a referee, all referees must be official Cumann Peil Gael na mBan referees.

NB: It is the responsibility of the HOME team to pay the referees fees in full. In the case of a neutral venue BOTH teams pay half the referees fee each. This is the case for all matches except championship finals.
